Well, I didn't think I was hungry.  That is, until I looked over our menu for National Scrapbook Day weekend!!  Now my tummy is rumbling, and I'm being careful not to drool on this keyboard.  NSD is not a day for a plain ol' pepperoni pizza, uh-uh!!  This stuff is gonna be GOOD!!  AND, our team is working hard to cater this event with our own lovin' hands.  If you have signed up already, here's a sneak peek at the yummies.  If you have NOT signed up, here's what you'll be missing if you don't act quickly!!  (There's just a couple spaces left, and we don't want you to miss out!)

New Goodies at Paradise

Your Scrapbooking in Paradise pals have been very busy lately.  We've been excitedly displaying lots of fabulous new treats from some of our favorite companies!  We are currently carrying the latest from Cosmo Cricket, Daisy Bucket Designs, and Bo-Bunny. We also have a new Wizard of Oz section, and we've updated our Music and Dance section.

"But that is not all," said the Cat in the Hat.  "Oh, no, that is not all!"(DISCLAIMER: I have an almost 16-month-old.  I'm not to be held responsible for the fact that Dr. Suess makes his way into my every day speech.)

I knew today was gonna be a good day when the latest from Basic Grey was delivered this morning!  We now have the "Cupcake" and "Sultry" full paper lines(my fingers just ache to start scrapping with them!), some great new fibers, and the paper collections of the "Sugared" and "Boxer" releases.

By the way, have you seen our latest delights from Fancy Pants?  This stuff is deliciously lovely!  The overlays especially are quite cool.  Here are some pics of them for you:

Drum roll please.....

Well, we had our final wrap up meeting for the Treasure Hunt and we picked all the winners for this year.  It was lots of fun getting together one last time.

The winner of the Scrapbooking in Paradise drawing is Renee Kelley.  Wohooooooo....  She won an Inque Boutique Stamp set that has almost 250 stamps in it, and a gift certificate to Paradise..  We had to call her right away to let her know and she was excited to win.  Hope you didn't mind the Sunday night call... 

And the overall Treasure Hunt drawing winners are......

The 3rd place winner receiving $340 in gift certificates is:  Sarah Ruburg from The Scrapbook Shoppe.

The 2nd place winner receiving $560 in gift certificates is:  Teri Vokus from K2.

The grand prize winner this year receiving $1,100 in gift certificates is:  Our very own customer Lena Johnson from Scrapbooking in Paradise. 

We had to call her Sunday night to tell her.  Now normally we would not bother someone on a Sunday night, but we felt this was an exception.  She was super excited to hear the news.  She was out with friends and they were all yelling and screaming. It was cool.  Thanks to everyone who participated and turned in their passports.

We want to send a big thank you to everyone who helped out this year.  This includes vendors: Inque Boutique, Creative Imaginations, SEI, and Stamping Station.  Also a big thank you goes to Julie and Lexi from The Scrapbook Shoppe for all the hours they spent on the Treasure Hunt.  You girls are da bomb..  Thanks to all the other stores too and thanks to all of you.  We cannot wait until next year and do it all over again...

National Scrapbook Day

            

Scrapbooking in Paradise is revving up the
DeLorean Time Machine!


National Scrapbook Day is once again upon us(May 3rd).   It really makes ya
realize just how quickly time flies by.  In fact, we here at Scrapbooking in Paradise think that time slips by too fast…..So to celebrate this holiday, we are going to step into the past.  Let us take you back to a simpler time that was truly not too long ago.  Let us go back to the 1980’s!!!!


That’s right, our NSD is going to be completely 1980’s!!  We’re going to be decked out in our finest 1980’s attire, and encourage you to do the same (that’s right, dust off the leg warmers and the big hoop earrings!).  By celebrating NSD with us you’ll be able to enjoy:


The chance to win prizes with your 1980 trivia knowledge and your
ability to “Name that 1980’s tune”
Delicious homemade food, includes lunch and dinner.
Snacks, drinks and some extra goodies.
Fabulous 1980’s party pack giveaways and prizes throughout the crop.
Live performances by some of your “favorite 80’s icons”  Here’s a hint to one of them:  Our store has had a performance from “The King,” and now we’re gonna have another “Royal” male celebrity give us his extra time and his kiss.
Hours and hours of good quality scrappin’ time.

We are looking into some other fun stuff too.  Stay tuned..

DETAILS: The crop will be Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00AM - Midnight($45 includes food) OR Sunday, May 4th from 10:00AM - 8:00PM($35 includes food).  Pick whichever day works best for you.  It is the pretty much the same party on either day. If you choose to sign up for BOTH days you will save $10 on the total crop party fee.  The party will be held here at our store, and space is limited, so sign up fast!  All spots MUST be prepaid in order to hold your seat.


YES, we’ve already had some amazing crops this year, but this is one you cannot miss!!!  So remember, this NSD is NOT the big ’08, it’s the big ’80!!!
