Classes start October 1 and are every Monday from 6-8pm until December 17.  You may take any of the classes as they appeal to you or you can sign up for all twelve classes for $150 and save $49. 

Classes will be taught by Rhonda, Joyce and Audrey

We have been in our new location for a year and it has been a wonderful adventure!!! As our business continues to grow we only have one person to thank and that is YOU, our customers.  So we thought we would say "thank you" in a big way.

So in honor of our anniversary and Labor Day (and yes we are open on Monday) we are putting a few everything on sale!!! That's right - EVERYTHING -  and it will be 40% off   ...pause...pause...pause...let me put that in bold  40% off - everything. Now by everything I mean everything.  Quickutz, paper, pens, stickers, stamps, albums  - all of it.

This sale will be Friday August 31 and Saturday September 1.  We will be open until 9pm both nights for those who need to come a little later and there are still some spots available for the crop on both days .

And if the sale wasn't enough - there is more...everyone who makes a purchase will be entered into a drawing. We are giving away 2 EK pink bags (you know the one with all the tools valued at $100) and a $100 shopping spree (sorry - only one of those!) and the first 100 customers that spend $20 or more will also get an extra goody from American Crafts !

Happy Birthday Will!

This adorable boy is twelve years old today!.  We slept late and then went to Adventure Island, floated in the lazy river for three hours and now he and his sister are having a competition to see who can do the most sit ups (Elle is winning by the way) Later we are going to watch Spaceballs.  I'm very excited! I made him an apple pie for his birthday and he helped (he loves to cook) and believe it or not - he wants Taco Bell for his birthday dinner so I don't have to cook, but I do have to sit through Spaceballs.  Happy Birthday bear - mom loves you!

Spending money is exhausting!!

We didn't go to CHA this summer so I have only seen some of the new stuff in pictures, but for the past two days we have had some of our reps in the store so that we could purchase some goodies for you -and we didn't let you down.  I ordered some of the new stuff and it is beautiful and fun and colorful and ready to ship which means it will be in your hot little hands soon! But after two days of ordering I was exhausted!  I came home from work today and literally fell into bed.  ( I know this because there were three teenagers on my bed watching tv and they had to scramble not to get flattened by me) I dreamed about ordering more scrapbook stuff and woke up at 8pm thinking it was time to get up and go to work.  Now I don't think I am overworked in the least, but that much decision making is tiresome!  So now I am wide awake and will most likely be up all night - oh well I guess I will have to scrap! 

There is a crop tomorrow night and we still have some openings, so if you want to join us - call the store and sign up. 

On a sad note, we are sending our sweet Breanna off to the big wide world.  Today was her last official day with us.  She heads to college in one week.  I know she will do well, cause she is a great girl with a solid foundation.  We will miss her and will send her goodies to help her through this first year.  She has promised to come back and work over the Christmas break.  (so I can go on vacation)

Update on the Just A Note classes

I guess word has spread on what a fun class the Just A Note is because we have been filling the class lately.  So I have decided to change it a bit.  Right now I offer the same class twice a month.  Once on a Saturday and once on  a Tuesday evening.  It has always been the same cards both times.  I am now going to be offering different cards at each class.  So you will have the opportunity to make ten different cards each month for ten dollars - I know - it's a steal.  The next Just a Note class in next Tuesday the 14th, and in honor of my son's  birthday the day before, we will be doing birthday cards.  Who doesn't need some of them!  There are still a few spots available so call and sign up and if you want an extra kit you need to tell us that when you sign up.

Sending some love....

Two of my favorite scrapbooking friends are under the weather.  Dianne is recovering from surgery and Carolyn has been feeling ill for several weeks now.  I did get to see Dianne today and she looks her fabulous self ( I'm sure she's saying "yea right) but Carolyn is unable to venture out as of yet.  So I am sending you both some love and well wishes.  Feel better soon.

I need a new book to read

OK last month I read Pride & Prejudice, Mr Darcy Takes a Wife, Darcy & Elizabeth, Harry Potter 5, Harry Potter 6 and Harry Potter 7 (twice) and now I need a new book to read - any suggestions?  Post a comment and let me know what books you have read and loved.  I know - I'm a geek, but I was an English teacher in a former life.  I love to read as much as I love to scrapbook and I've been doing it a lot longer!!!

Well it is late and we have started the "back to school" hours at my house and I need to lead by example and go to bed!  and with no book to read  - I might go right to sleep!
