We hope everyone had a nice 4th. Laura and myself went on a vacation to the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina. This was our first vacation is soooo long. It was nice. Jordan got his first pony ride, although it was more like a horse. If the pony comes up to my neck, is it still considered a pony? He was so good for the car ride up and back, even though he barely slept at all. In fact, when we left at 5AM, we figured he would be sound asleep.. Nope! He had such a HUGE grin on his little face. He knew we were going away and he was so excited. He loved looking at all the different kinds of trucks on the highway. OK, now I will make you a little jealous. The average daily temps were around 75 and the nights were a cool 55. As much as we love Florida, it was hard to leave such a beautiful area.
We got back to discover that one of our wonderful Paradise gals, Sharon, had fallen very ill while we were gone. We were so upset and worried, but were glad to find out she is doing somewhat better now. Sweet Sharon wanted to make sure that we did not know about this-because she knew we would drive right back to Florida-and she wanted to make sure that we had a nice vacation. So our amazing gals figured everything out and took care of the store while we were gone. We are very thankful to have such incredible ladies working here. To Miranda, Rachel, and Lynnette, thanks very much for filling in and caring so much. And to our Sharon, we are so glad you are feeling a little better now, and you are right, I would have instantly cut our vacation short and come back home. So, thank you for your kindness and consideration to us. I understand why you didn't want us to know... You're a tough lady!
Because Sharon, who teaches some fabulous classes here, has fallen so ill, we've had to rearrange the our schedule a bit. Also, our American Arts show for Saturday is going to have to be rescheduled for later in the month. More to come on that. Not only will we be missing Sharon, another of our guests is not able to make it to the American Arts show either, so we felt that we might as well do it later in the month. We will post more on the blog later. You will not want to miss out on it.
We will reschedule 3 Quick cards to a later date. And, the Christmas Ornament class on July 14th has been rescheduled to July 28th.
Our samples are not all out yet either, but hey, hopefully you all know you can always trust Paradise to give you a great class. So, feel free to sign up now and we will have samples soon.
